⚠️Notice:

  1.  Firmware of receiver should be upgraded to v4 when tracker upgraded to v6, and v7 with v7. If you find no motion capture data after upgrading, please check if the receiver has been upgraded.
  2.  Before you upgrade the tracker or receiver, please unplug the receiver and close excap studio to avoid misoperation! When selecting serial port, please comfirm which port is the tracker’s correct port.

 

🔧 How to Upgrade Firmware

 

Step 1: Connect Device

 

👉 Upgrading the receiver? Plug it into your computer’s USB port. Select excap_receiver firmware to upgrade
👉 Upgrading the tracker? Unplug the receiver first, then use the USB data cable (the short one) to connect the tracker directly to your computer (not via the dock! ). Select excap_tracker firmware to upgrade

Step 2: Select Port & Device

 

🖱 Click the Select Serial Port button.
Then choose whether you’re upgrading the receiver or the tracker.

Step 3: Start the Upgrade

 

🚀 Click the Start Firmware Upgrade button.
Wait a moment… Once complete, you’ll see a success message and the device lights will turn back on — upgrade complete!


💡 Tips

✅ If your PC has multiple serial(COM) ports, use Device Manager to check which one is connected.
✅ Close Excap Studio and any other software may be using the serial port before upgrading.
✅ This firmware upgrade page is tested on Chrome and Edge (other browsers may not work properly).
